Leipzig, Seiwald: “Very bitter result. Naive to let Juve score”

After the defeat against Juventus, the Leipzig midfielder Nicolas Seiwald spoke to the official channels of the German club: “For us it was a difficult match at the beginning, we defended ourselves well and responded well, finishing 1-0. At the beginning of the second half Juventus pressed more and at that point deservedly led to 1-1. Then came the turning point with the 2-1 and the red card. As a result we were too naive and let the opponents score goals too easily.

We had many opportunities in defence, we should have taken advantage of one or two things and then we could have even turned the game around and won. It is a very bitter outcome. Of course we had something different planned, especially here at home. We could have done much more! We’re not in the best position right now, but we’ll move forward!”
