Kroos: “Cristiano has an addiction to goals. I continue to visit Valdebebas”

During a long chat with tennis player Zverev, the thirty-four-year-old midfielder Toni Kroos spoke about his career: “I have always wanted to reach the highest level. I have played with many top-level players, but few have made it. The constant traveling and the distance from my family have tired me over the years. Perhaps between five years I will say it was too early, but now I feel good. August I went on holiday for the first time in my life. And now, when I take the children to school, I go home and not to train.”

Said on CR7: “Cristiano was there when I arrived at the first training session and he was still there when I left. We all want to win titles and score goals, but for him scoring goals was a positive addiction. I dare say that’s what he wants in Saudi Arabia too” .

On his visits to Valdebebas: “I don’t know if Ancelotti likes it very much, but it’s true, I introduce myself from time to time and say I want to join the group. Currently there is also the risk that Carlo will tell me: ‘Now stay here’. At the moment I don’t feel like training adults. I will open a youth academy in Madrid.”

On Real Madrid’s continued success: “We’ve always had to replace a lot of quality, but at the time there was already a new young player ready. One gear triggered another. It’s not just the legs that count, but also what’s between the ears.”
