Verona, Baroni: “Congratulations to the boys and the public. Noslin? He plays well everywhere”

The Verona coach Marco Baroni spoke to the microphones of DAZN after the 2-1 home success against Fiorentina.

Very complicated race to win.
“Very complicated, we’re playing against a strong team. We prepared a game well during the week, we went after them high. It’s difficult to face this team, we reduced their offensive potential to a minimum. The team played with heart, intensity and attention, congratulations to the boys and to our audience. Together it’s the only way we have, it will still be tough but we all have the opportunity to play it.”

Lazovic as a leader?
“Darko is an extraordinary boy and a great professional. He has quality and is good at reading. The team always remained within the match, even suffering because Fiorentina has quality and in the second half they gave us great difficulty. The team had always great presence of mind and we enjoy this victory.”

Noslin gives important answers: what is his best feature?
“There is the beauty in these guys, of having a football in the head without mental legacies. He gives me availability everywhere: sometimes we lock them up, but he has this mentality not conditioned by the position and I exploit it. Like all young people you have to throw them into the field and support them in difficulties.”

The next match is against Torino, still at home: the importance of playing two close matches in front of your fans?
“For us it is fundamental. I already knew these people, in difficult moments they know how to support and we have grown together with them in difficulties. I always tell the team that we need to excite those who watch us: when a team works hard, there is great energy and we must exploit it.”

What did you say to each other at the end of the match with Italiano?
“He told me how I was dressed, I like to wear tracksuits. It’s an image that I have to convey to the team, of being focused on performance. Vincenzo is doing an extraordinary job and is really good.”
