Serie B, Carrarese-Reggiana: Calabro looking for success to get out of the slums

The march of this Italian cadet championship continues, where from day to day there is always some surprise to shake things up. Today they face two teams in difficulty, Carrarese and Reggiana, both looking for points to get back on top.

How the Carrarese arrives
Mister Antonio Calabro’s Carrarese comes from the third consecutive defeat, suffered at the Picco di La Spezia, after the Tuscans had taken the lead with D’Angelo’s goal. Fifth defeat in just six games and only three points in the standings, which sees them tied in last position together with Frosinone; furthermore, the 4 slaps received in the last seasonal outing make the Calabro boys the most successful in the championship. The same coach who worked a lot on dead balls during the week given the three goals conceded – from a standing start – against Spezia.

How Reggiana arrives
Reggiana, on the other hand, comes from a goalless draw with Salernitana, which however did not divert attention from the insufficient results of the granata in the last period. Much of the credit for the point gained within the friendly walls in the last round of the championship goes to Francesco Bardi: the Emilian goalkeeper saved the impossible. The hosts’ only chance fell at the feet of Portanova; too little over the course of ninety minutes. The only sweet note, on which Wiliam Viali can be heartened, is the third clean sheet of the season, after the five goals conceded in the first two matches.
