Through its official website, Juventus has retraced the career of Samuel Mbangula, a footballer who today renewed his contract until June 30, 2028. And it explained the reasons that pushed the Bianconeri club to focus heavily on the Belgian attacking winger born in 2004: “This is a renewal that is further confirmation of the goodness of his path at Juventus, which began in the youth team and arrived in these first weeks of the 2024/25 season in the First Team. The first to notice the young talent of Belgian origin born in 2004 were the scouts of Club Brugge, followed by Anderlecht – with whom he took to the field with the Under 18s, also making himself noticed by Juventus who in the summer of 2020 decided to focus on him.
Four years ago Mbangula’s adventure in the Juventus youth sector beganfirst making five appearances in the Under 17s and then 57 with 12 goals and five assists in the Primavera – with whom he also played seven UEFA Youth League matches.
In the 2023/24 season, however, the transition to the professionals, aggregated to Juventus Next Gen with whom he showed off by taking to the field on 25 occasions, completing the maturation process necessary to convince mister Thiago Motta to aggregate him to the First Team group starting from the preparation of this summer.
Trust repaid by Mbangula himself in the season debut, when he was deployed as a starter in the first match of his career in Serie A and found the goal after just 23 minutes of play and carved out a role on the pitch in four seasonal games already. Also involved in the national team, Mbangula has gone through the ranks with Belgium from the Under 15s to the Under 21s – with whom he has already collected four appearances in recent months.
