TMW Radio
During today’s live broadcast of All Clicense plate transmission TMW Radio and dedicated to the world of Serie C, intervened Mr. Vincenzo Torrentewho, currently a free agent, made an assessment of the category: “I see teams that play very proactive football, even if many still have to find a balance on a tactical level, many goals are conceded precisely for this reason. It is an interesting championship in any case with good young players”.
Speaking of young people, are you convinced by the second team project?
“Yes, because these guys have an important experience in a championship like C. Atalanta already has players ready to play in the first team, while Juventus has made a generational change, in a year that is certainly particular because Group C is not a walk in the park: on an environmental and structural level it is not easy to deal with, also because it is a grouping in which the physical aspect also counts a lot. Personally, however, I like the idea of the second teams for the growth of Italian football in general, because these guys have the potential to get to Serie A. Compared to the Primavera, C is a whole other world. Milan demonstrates this, which is going through a period of adaptation, but it is normal. I hope that all these guys can represent the future of Italian football, even if I would make the Under 23s at least 50% Italian, because they need to grow with a view to the national team”.
His last experience at Padova. In Group A are we heading towards a head-to-head between the white and blues and Vicenza?
“I think so, because both have given continuity to their respective squads, and I think they have something more than all the others. They will fight until the end for Serie B. Then come Lecco and FeralpiSalò, but it is never easy to start again after relegation. Renate, on the other hand, is the revelation”.
In Group C there is a reality in chaos like Avellino. Overall what impressions did it give you?
“For the squad they have, Avellino can easily recover ground. Among the others I see Benevento doing well, they have given continuity to the technical project while improving the team, and Picerno made a great impression on me, who have changed coaches but are playing the best football in Group C. Continuity has been given there too for the composition of the roster. The pressure is obviously different compared to other big clubs, where instead only the result counts”.
