Comotto to RFV: “Fiorentina’s turning point with Lazio. And Palladino gave courage”

Former defender Gianluca Comotto had his say on Fiorentina’s moment, who beat Lazio 2-1 yesterday, obtaining their first victory of the championship, during an interview with Radio FirenzeVioladuring the broadcast ‘Viola Amore Mio’: “For me, yesterday’s victory against Lazio could be a turning point. There were many signals from Palladino’s team, who is an excellent coach and thus dispelled many doubts and skepticism”.

Is it more due to a change of formation or the devastating entrance of Gudmundsson?
“Both. But fixing the module also means giving the players confidence and giving courage. Gudmundsson for his part has shown great personality, something this team needed. He is an excellent addition.”

Can he be the leader of this Fiorentina?
“Yes, a technical leader, but you must never rush too much because difficult moments will come. Yesterday, however, he was a reference and it is right to underline this”.

Is the back four an improvement?
“Well, if I think of Biraghi as the third left, I find it a bit of a stretch. So it’s right that the coach takes measures in this sense.”

Will Biraghi be the sacrificed par excellence?
“Luckily, there are a lot of games to play, including the Conference. So I expect a rotation that can involve everyone.”

How does Comuzzo see it?
“I know him well, when I was in Florence he arrived with his twin brother. Pietro struck me for his seriousness and talent. You could see that he had something different compared to the others, especially in terms of technique. But also in terms of personality. He immediately settled in well with the big boys: he has the right mindset to do it”.
