No one would have expected to see Frosinone in such great difficulty after the first games of the year. The team relegated from Serie A is in fact one of those accustomed to playing in Serie B, with several category players in the squad and a coach who last year was among the best in the entire cadet league. Yet something has not worked so far.
The summer revolution, with the arrival on the bench of Vincenzo Vivarini from Catanzaro, at the moment has not borne fruit with the team that is still far from being amalgamated and the tactical dictates of the coach that have not yet been absorbed by the team with the result that the team on the pitch appears without a precise identity. With the results that are the perfect litmus test of what is seen on the green pitch: three draws and as many defeats in six games in fact mean last place on a par with the newly promoted Carrarese, one less than that Cosenza penalized by four points.
The 3-4-2-1 set up by Vivarini has not borne fruit so far, the defence is proving to be fragile and too vulnerable to opposing attackers – as was also seen against Bari -, while up front it is difficult to see the sparkling game shown in Catanzaro in the last two years. The coach must therefore urgently find solutions to reverse the red with two matches against Cittadella and Carrarese, before the break.which could prove decisive for its future if there is no turning point in terms of play and results that can save the Ciociaro club from a year of suffering that in the past has sunk other clubs fresh from relegation from the top league, bringing them to one step, if not worse, from a second consecutive relegation.
