Capello on the derby: “Fonseca will be more relaxed now. I would propose Abraham-Morata again”

Interviewed by The Sports Gazettethe former coach Fabio Capello he talked about the Milan wins the derby: “It was a beautiful and hard-fought match, balanced and entertaining, even with a few mistakes. The Rossoneri suffered Inter only in the quarter of an hour between Dimarco’s equaliser and half-time. In the second half, Milan took control of the game, almost making 1-2 seem too tight for them. It is no coincidence that Sommer was among the best”

On the attack: “I really liked Abraham and Morata. They are not center forwards in the penalty area but they know what it means to move for the team, help and open spaces. Milan’s victory started with their spirit of sacrifice. I would confirm them in the future too”.

About Inter: “The lack of quality shown in the second half shocked me. I didn’t understand the move to remove the midfield altogether but perhaps Inzaghi’s choices also depended on the fatigue suffered during the week in the Champions League. Lautaro? He’s not at his best physically. He had a long and tiring season and he started again after the others. But he always does his job”.

On Cage: “A true Milan fan and a serious guy. It’s a reward for his work. Well done Fonseca for preferring him to Pavlovic, it wasn’t an easy choice in such a delicate match”.

About the future: “The victory will certainly give Fonseca more peace of mind. As for Inter, I don’t think the defeat will have any major repercussions. A setback can happen.”
