For Motta Juve superior to Napoli? Conte: “Our goalkeeper didn’t get his gloves dirty”

I don’t agree Thiago Motta And Anthony Conte regarding the match seen at Stadium between Juventus and Napoli. For the Italian-Brazilian coach, his team was superior and his opinion was also reported to his Italian colleague during the latter’s press conference. This is how Conte responded to the matter: “Evaluations are subjective. Our goalkeeper didn’t get his gloves dirty, while Di Gregorio made two super saves on Lukaku and McTominay. I made some formation camps, because at the end of the transfer window two midfielders arrived and Folurunsho remained. I had some fears about the defense, but the boys were very good. We have to do better in the offensive phase. We made some mistakes in the passes and we didn’t make an impact in the 1vs1. We have great room for improvement. Now we are richer, because we worked on two game systems”.

Are you starting to see progress?
“My fear today is on a defensive level. You go from a robust defense in the non-possession phase, there could have been some imbalances. In ten days together with the other system, we worked before Cagliari on this module. The work we did has borne good fruit in terms of compactness. On an offensive level we have not seen situations that we could and should have exploited better, we are not as well mechanized as we were before but we have taken a path, the good thing is that we want to work and assimilate, today we worked on two systems and believe me that for a coach that is a lot”.
