Roma, Juric: “There is a lot of work to do. The club has been clear with me, I have to raise the level of the squad”

In his first press conference as the new coach of Roma, on the eve of the match against Udinese, Ivan Juric he also spoke about what the club has asked of him in view of the next 8 months: “The ownership has been very clear and direct. In my opinion they are making a corporate change in the sense that the squad is becoming much younger. That they have many players to grow and develop. There is a good mix between experienced and young players. There is a lot of work to do. They asked me about the development of the players and certainly the results. Raising the level of the entire squad. The club’s objective is for Roma to enter the Champions League and stay there over time. This is the main objective”.

What do you think of Roma’s first four games this season?
“At times there were positive things and at times negative things, in my opinion. During the same games we saw positive movements where good football was expressed and moments where it wasn’t. These aspects certainly need to be improved.

It’s not all to be thrown away. In my opinion Daniele has done a great job but also in terms of organization and work and behavior of the players. Who are used to working very well. The team is also at a very good level physically. I would like to introduce certain things that I have seen in the past and that I think we can do”.
