A talent a day, Max Dowman: versatile striker and Youth League record holder

Max Dowman (born 31 December 2009) became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Youth League at 14 years and 263 days yesterday, beating the previous record held by Yossoufa Moukoko: the Arsenal Under-19 player was one of the few bright spots in the team’s debut in the competition, which was soundly beaten by Atalanta 4-1. Mainly deployed as an attacking midfielder or attacking midfielder, Dowman is known for his versatility and ability to play on the wings. His technical attributes include excellent ball control, dribbling and vision, which makes him a creative and unpredictable player in attacks.

Blessed with speed and agility, Dowman can easily escape defenders, and his ability to use both feet makes him a valuable weapon in attack. He is also very adept at set pieces, adding an extra dimension to his game. However, one area for improvement is his physical development, especially in maintaining his speed and agility as he gets older. Despite his young age, he has already trained with the Arsenal first team and is seen as a bright future talent.
