Only two days ago Trento announced their return, starting from this weekend’s match, to the Briamasco stadium, but that will not be the case. With a new press release, the yellow and blue club has in fact announced a sensational U-turn due to delays in resurfacing the turf. This is the note from the club:
AC Trento 1921 announces that today it received the following from the President and Director of the Special Company for the Management of Sports Facilities of the Municipality of Trento (ASIS) Martino Orler and Claudio Alì: “With this letter, with extreme disappointment and regret, we must inform you that the company contracted to resurface the Briamasco stadium has just sent us this note: “We hereby inform you that the current environmental conditions, with particular reference to air humidity, reduce working hours; therefore, we will not be able to complete the Intaso works today“. Due to this unexpected and unforeseeable event, we are forced to communicate the impossibility of using the Briamasco stadium for the match on Sunday 22 September, confirming that the undersigned will continue to do everything possible to allow the delivery of the facility with the related mandatory and accessory improvements strongly requested by the AC Trento 1921 company by the estimated and agreed deadline of 30 September 2024. We would like to strongly underline our regret for this sudden and unforeseeable delay, for which we will take serious measures with the contractor in the appropriate offices”.
AC Trento 1921, with regret, announces at the same time that the Trento-Caldiero Terme match will be played on Sunday 22 September at 18.30 at the Euganeo Stadium in Padua. Details regarding pre-sales and refunds for those who purchased tickets for the Briamasco Stadium in Trento will be announced in the next few hours.
