After the Champions League, here comes the derby. Inter warms up their engines, Lautaro and Dimarco are ready

Inter returned to Milan yesterday morningafter the challenge against Manchester City (0-0) in the seasonal debut in the Champions League and more precisely in the first official outing of the championship phase of the (renewed) top European competition. The closure of the English airport has in fact forced the Nerazzurri to postpone the departure from immediately after the match to yesterday morning.

Towards the derby
Now the preparation for the derby against Milan on Sunday evening will begin. After returning from Manchester, mister Simone Inzaghi has decided to give a day off to those who faced City, giving Inter a precious draw against a more than difficult opponent. Also with a view to the derby, that’s why the twenty-four hours of recovery were granted to then meet up today and focus on the match against Milan on Sunday evening. Yesterday, in Appiano, only Dimarco, Buchanan, Correa, Arnautovic and Palacios (absent in the Champions League) showed up. In particular, Dimarco seems to have a good chance of recovery for the derby.

Here Milan
Paulo Fonseca is playing his future on Sunday night against Inter. After only five games, the Portuguese manager is already at risk: his adventure on the Rossoneri bench could in fact end in a few days if the Madonnina derby ends badly. The Milan management, on the sidelines of the disappointing defeat against Liverpool, had a meeting with Edin Terzic’s entourage, but in these hours they are also evaluating the Italian option with Maurizio Sarri who, in this sense, is waiting for developments. In the meantime, however, Fonseca is continuing with his work and yesterday at Milanello he met Zlatan Ibrahimovic. In fact, a meeting took place between the Swedish manager and the Portuguese manager. Not only that: Ibra encouraged and spurred the players individually. He did not give a collective speech to the team, but he then wanted to talk with some of the team’s leaders, including Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders.
