Joseph Gianniniformer midfielder of the Romein his long interview given to TMWalso spoke about the choice to nominate Ivan Juric as a new coach: “I’m interested in the team climbing up the standings and getting results, then whether Juric or someone else is there is indifferent with all due respect. I was pleased that Daniele was there, because he is Roman and has worn our shirt for many years, but I think that was a pleasure for the whole club, not just me. There will certainly be support for Roma though, people want to see them do well”.
Once again the Friedkins did not comment.
“Every professional chooses what to do, they have always said little, I think this is their philosophy. In this moment in my opinion they have not intervened much, they will have endorsed the choice, but I think the decision was made by other people”.
Did the team give you the impression of being on De Rossi’s side?
“Yes, because otherwise the players would be idiots. I don’t think individuals who play for Roma could have the stupidity to go against a figure like Daniele. There can be a comparison, but the player thinks about playing and that’s it, I don’t think they had the strength to determine the dismissal”.
