Bari, former Giampaolo: “It’s right that my cycle ended there. Now a strong squad, but it’s difficult to win Serie B”

That’s a long interview former Bari coach Federico Giampaolowho took over the bench of the Galletti at the end of the season last year, has released to his colleagues tuttobari.comspeaking about his experience at the helm of the first team: “You had to be aware of your own means. You had to give everything you had and trust the lads. I wanted them to have fun in training, but not by ‘goingof around’, but rather I wanted them to rediscover that enthusiasm that was a bit lost. It was a very intense month and 10 days, in which the team recognized itself in the difficulties and what was said was a bit of a cocktail that allowed us to obtain an almost impossible salvation”.

He adds: “It was right that my experience at Bari ended, since I didn’t have the license to coach in Serie B, and also because I felt I had closed a cycle with the youth teams.. I coached in D and C, so I’m waiting for a call that could come or not, but I’m very calm. Many coaches are standing still and waiting, so let’s see what happens”.

A final note, on current events: “Bari is a good team that can get satisfaction; it is unlikely that they will win the championship but you never knowfootball is unpredictable. I’m happy for Lella’s return and for his debut goal, having trained him in the youth team. He can give a lot to a midfield that I like a lot. I like Lasagna because he’s strong, he’s physical and fast, he can score a lot of goals. But if I have to tell you someone who could explode, I’d say Manzari, because he’s young, I know him and he has great quality”.
