The official statement on De Rossi’s dismissal
Sensational news in Rome. With a note on the official website, the Giallorossi club announced the dismissal of Daniele De Rossi. “AS Roma announces that it has relieved Daniele De Rossi of his duties as coach of the First Team. The Club’s decision is taken in the interest of the team, to be able to promptly resume the desired path, at a time when the season is still at its beginning. To Daniele, who will always be at home in the Giallorossi Club, a heartfelt thanks for the work carried out in these months with passion and dedication. Communications on the technical guidance of the team will follow”.
De Rossi had become the coach of Roma on January 16th when he took over from José Mourinho. A few months later, he also received a contract renewal until June 30th 2027 and now, after only four days of the championship, here comes the dismissal, mainly due to the disappointing start to the season: Roma has so far earned three draws and suffered one defeat.
