At the microphones of Inter TVthe Inter coach Simone Inzaghi spoke about the 0-0 draw against Manchester City in the seasonal debut in the Champions League, with the Etihad Stadium being the theatre of the event. In the thoughts of the Nerazzurri coach, also a comment in view of the next derby against Milan and on the match of Zielinski, who started for the occasion:
A point that could have been three?
“Yes, because we had so many situations but let’s not forget that we played against Manchester City. In the second half we conceded too much towards the end, we risked a few things, but the lads showed character. We had three clear chances that we should have exploited better, but I can’t say anything to the lads.”
What did you like most and what did you miss?
“The goal was missing, but I liked everything. The way they worked together, that was our word for three and a half years. Work together to put in more performances like this.”
A judgement on Zielinski? Is he a factor for Inter?
“Absolutely, we really wanted him and he will give us a hand because he is an excellent player.”
Now there’s the derby: will you rest or get straight to work?
“No, we’re already working. The boys are already on the pitch, this match is very important and will give us a big hand.”
