Despite the transfer market in Italy having been closed for almost two weeks now, the latest negotiations regarding the exits of Serie A clubs continue to dominate the stage. The hottest and most current one is linked to the future of Nicola Zalewski, Roma winger who is being heavily pressured by Galatasaray. In the last few hours, the management of the Turkish club arrived in Italy with the aim of closing the deal with the Giallorossi and after a long negotiation, an agreement was reached between the two clubs on the basis of a permanent transfer worth 10 million euros plus 2 million in bonuses. Zalewski himself, however, has not yet given his green light to the deal despite the rich contractual offer put on the table by the Giallorossi of Turkey, with the time available running out. In the meantime, Galatasaray, in order not to be caught unprepared, has also started negotiations with Milan for Fode Ballo-Touré in Milan, with Mario Rui of Napoli remaining a distant and background alternative for now. As mentioned, the first option is Zalewski, but if the Roma player continues to say no to the Turkish proposal, Gala would quickly move on to the other two Italian objectives.
Today’s Corriere dello Sport recalls that the renewal of Christian Kouame should materialize shortly, whose agreement with the Viola has already undergone a change in June when the option for an extension until 2025 was exercised. A move that seemed preparatory to his eventual sale during the summer market, and which instead will only be the appetizer of a broader compromise. The Ivorian, for whom Bologna, Union Berlin and Maiorca had made moves at the time, has received the approval of Raffaele Palladino who has guaranteed him satisfactory employment, encouraging his two-year renewal. The club’s idea is to meet with his entourage over the course of the next week to put pen to paper on the new contract valid until 2027. Further confirmation of the high regard that the club as well as the coach have for him. Also awaited is the official confirmation of another renewal, that of the young defender Pietro Comuzzo, used as a starter in all the first matches of the championship by his coach Palladino: the player was also a protagonist in the Conference League, getting the first expulsion of his career as a pro against Akademia Puskas. The 2005 class is ready to tie himself to the purple colors until June 30, 2028.
It’s time for renewals at Bologna too. The arrival in Italy of president Joey Saputo – Tuttosport underlines, taking stock of the club’s corporate moves – could give the decisive boost to a series of operations that have been in the works for a couple of weeks. Saputo wants to confirm himself at the top and aims to open a cycle, so full confidence in technical director Giovanni Sartori who, after having created the Dea miracle, is making Bologna’s sportsmen and women live a daydream. For the deus ex machina of the Emilian team, a renewal until 2027 is on the horizon. The same duration also for his right-hand man: the sports director Marco Di Vaio. Their work has been fundamental in bringing Bologna back to the top of the league. For this reason they need to be protected, given that more than one club has asked them for information for the future. As for the players, a new agreement until 2028 is ready for midfielder Kacper Urbanski and full-back Tommaso Corazza. A draft agreement with their representatives has already been reached: now only the last details need to be sorted out. Finally, all that is missing is the signature for the signing of the jewel Tommaso Ebone (born in 2005). For the Primavera centre-forward, the new contract will last until 2027.
Through its official website, Genoa announced that it has renewed the contract with Honest Ahanor until 2027: “Genoa CFC announces that it has extended the agreement with Honest Ahanor until 2027”. He is one of the most interesting profiles in the entire rossoblu youth system and it is no secret that the club wants to enhance him, from now until the next seasons, offering him the opportunity to grow with serenity, in a healthy environment and above all suitable for a young player.
Author of a stellar start to the championship with the Parma jersey, Dennis Man has also managed to collect very similar satisfactions with Romania, especially during the last match against Kosovo. And the rumors about a possible farewell of the Romanian are back in the news: his agent Giovanni Becali talks about it, in an interview with Fanatik. This is what ParmaLive.com gathered: “Man renewed with Parma for this reason. For his tranquility and for coach Pecchia, who brought Man to his peak. He also lifted Mihăilă, who was discouraged, and made him a starter in almost every match. The growth is evident: look at Mihaila, who once ran in front of the ball. Now he has put on muscles on his back and thighs. He comes in at the center, moves from right to left. He is no longer that player to whom you give the ball on the wing to run. He participates in all phases and you saw where he hit the post (with the Romanian national team, ed.), from a central position”.
Filippo Antonelli, sporting director of Venezia, has drawn up a balance sheet on the market that has just concluded in an interview with TuttoVeneziaSport.it: “Is there a lack of experience in the three-quarter line? Speaking with the coach in that position, we consider Busio in that position and we think he can do well there. We have done surveys, guys like Brekalo have been proposed to us, but at the moment we want to see Busio in that position, we think that Crnigoj can also play that role. We are also evaluating situations by seeing what could be around, but at the moment we don’t want to do anything. As we said yesterday, every effort will have to be approved by the club”.
Are you considering whether it’s worth finding a reinforcement in defense or attack?
“The right thing to do is whether it’s worth it more than the department, then maybe if one thinks one always thinks about the attack rather than other departments, but at this moment we don’t have any pressing needs and research already done”.
The president recently said that we have never been so financially strong, what can you tell us about this?
“A lot of money has been put in in the last two years by this club without any real revenue, because Serie B doesn’t bring in any particular revenue as you know. Important investments were made before my arrival, not only players but also infrastructure and therefore the owners put in a lot of money, then clearly there are some salaries that weigh, but compared to two years ago the situation is completely different. It was a market of patience, in Serie B Venezia could have the appeal of a top team, in Serie A we are approaching as a newly promoted team and with a project to explain, so the market can be slower, but we must thank the president and owners. In light of the sales, investments have been made, we are consolidating, the project is moving forward and today we are much more stable than a couple of years ago”.
