At 38 years old, Romanian goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu has announced his retirement from playing football. The former Fiorentina and Milan goalkeeper, fresh from his adventure in Saudi Arabia with the Abha Club, made his decision known via his social media channels: “Football is the most beautiful sport in the world that I have had the fortune and honor of playing. I have given everything from the first days until now, I have always put it first and it has rewarded me accordingly. Thank you for the good times, but above all for the difficult ones: they have made me the man I am today. I also thank all the fans, coaches, teammates, opponents, managers, referees and journalists that I have met along the way. I have tried to treat them with respect and I hope I have succeeded. To those who come from now on I wish much success! I started 30 years ago and today I stop. Thank you for everything!”.
Milan itself, with a post on X, greeted Tatarusanuformer AC Milan goalkeeper: “A brilliant servant of the Club. Enjoy the next chapter of your life, Tata.”
