The transfer market news you don’t expect: Memphis Depay is a new Corinthians footballer. If it is true that the transfer to Timão of the former Atletico Madrid striker – linked in recent weeks also to Roma, Inter and Fiorentina – had been in the air for days, it is equally true that few would have expected to see him actually start again from the top Brazilian league. And instead this Tuesday the official announcement arrived: contract until 2026 and a new challenge for the Dutch champion born in 1994, already a protagonist in England, France and Spain.
The official statement from Corinthians
