From a possible jump to Inter to West Brom, Iddrisa’s story: “Bellingham started from here nearby”

Dauda Amihere Iddrisadefender of the Italy Under 17 team who plays in England with West Bromwich Albion, told his story in an interview with the official channels of the Italian Football Federation.

“Wearing the blue jersey is something special – the Italian footballer says, excitedly -, because it allows me to represent the country where I was born and raised before moving to England”. The move to the United Kingdom, which took place in 2016, ruined his move to Inter from Uso Inzino, an amateur club from Brescia, leading him to face a completely different kind of football: “English football is less tactically organised than Italian football, where you rarely find long teams or players who make more than three touches”. A different school of football, in which he found two important sources of inspiration: Jude Bellingham (“he started in Birmingham, not far from where I live, before becoming one of the best footballers in the world”) and Jayson Molumby (“he plays in the same role as me in the First Team and I would like to acquire some of his qualities”).

Born on January 8, 2008 in Bresciastarted playing football at the age of 6 in the amateur team Uso Inzino (“my mother was fed up with me breaking furniture at home, so she signed me up there”). In 2016 he moved to England for his family’s work reasons and, after playing three seasons at amateur level for Smethwick Rangers, he signed with West Bromwich Albion in 2019.
