Memphis Depay will continue his career in Brazil. The former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid player has been a free agent since last June, but now he seems to be really close to joining Corinthians. The Brazilian club has reached an agreement with the Dutch striker. At the moment it is a verbal agreement, the documents are being drawn up and then everything will be formalized. It is not done yet, but the operation is very close to being concluded. A contract until 2026 is ready for Depay.
Memphis, who had been linked with Sevilla, will receive 11 million euros over the 28 months of his contract with Corinthians, according to Globo Export. The negotiations on the part of the Brazilian club were conducted by sporting director Fabinho Soldado, general secretary Vinicius Cascone and financial director Pedro Silveira. Depay will thus become the first Dutchman in the history of the São Paulo team.
