The Genoa striker Andrea Pinamonti he spoke to Sky Sports starting his reasoning on the new adventure with the Grifone jersey: “Everything has changed. I have changed, the Genoa environment has changed, there are all the conditions for it to be a great season. I was pleased with the coach’s trust, now it’s up to me to repay it”.
The break at the top of the table?
“We enter the field to give our best in every match and get as many points as possible, in Serie A every game is tough. Even against Verona we knew it would be tough and so it was, now during the break we will prepare ourselves as best we can for Roma”.
What is being said in the locker room and what are your goals?
“I have always had a lot of ambition, I will try to improve on what I did last year at Sassuolo and I will try to improve on last year’s ranking. There is enthusiasm in the locker room, we will try to do well in every match to improve on Genoa’s ranking from last year”.
Are you thinking about the national team?
“Certainly… I’ve always said that it has to be an objective, the national team is one of the highest points a footballer can reach. I will continue to train hard and score as much as possible to show that I’m there, then obviously the choices don’t depend on me”.
How much has he grown since his previous adventure at Genoa?
“Everyone improves with time. Here at 20 years old I was at my first experiences among the big boys, I had to learn a lot. I still have to improve but I have grown, in the last 5 years I have assimilated a lot from coaches and experiences and for this I feel improved”.
