The National team is back on the field. After the disastrous European Championship, Italy has found itself in these hours at Coverciano to prepare for the two challenges of Nations League against France and Israel, matches that will be played respectively on September 6 and 9. After the press conference of the technical commissioner Luciano Spalletti (read the full statements here), the Italian team showed up in the afternoon on the field of the federal sports center for the first of the scheduled training sessions. After an initial part of work in the gym, all 23 players called up took to the pitch at Coverciano, divided into two groups.

Training divided into two groups
The first group with ten players was made up of those who played on Friday or those – like Tonali or Calafiori – who did not start for their respective teams (goalkeepers were the only exceptions). Coach Spalletti first divided them up for a short five-on-five match and then all eight outfield players trained on the build-up phase. The first group was made up of Vicario, Frattesi, Bellanova, Tonali and Calafiori. The second group instead included Meret, Brescianini, Retegui, Ricci and Dimarco.

The other 13, therefore, were those who played between Saturday and Sunday. The only exception was Bastoni, who is not 100% and therefore trained with them. A quarter of an hour of running and cooling down before returning to the locker room (here are the images). In addition to the Inter defender, therefore, Di Lorenzo, Raspasori, Okoli, Kean, Udogie, Donnarumma, Gatti, Fagioli, Buongiorno, Zaccagni, Cambiaso and Pellegrini were present.
