Genoa coach Alberto Gilardino spoke in this way in a press conference, after the 0-2 defeat at home against Verona. Here are some of his statements.
Ekhator and Accornero have entered: a signal to the company?
“I don’t want to send signals to anyone. As I said yesterday in the press conference, I have these guys at my disposal. I tried in every way, it doesn’t always go well. After the 0-2 there was too much confusion on our part. We have to keep a clear head but these are things we’re working on and will work on.”
Can you pick someone up for after the break?
“I hope so. I will evaluate Bani, Ankeye, Matturro, Miretti. These are situations that we will try to resolve together with the technical staff”.
The changes in attack?
“Pinamonti had cramps, Ekuban needs more minutes, Ekhator came on. I tried to put more weight up front, it didn’t go well and we take this defeat home thinking about where we need to improve and preparing ourselves as much as possible in a few days, because the internationals will be back, the next match”.
From Winter?
“He’s active, awake for 95 minutes, has significant potential and makes the difference in any of the three back roles. He has incredible room for improvement that he doesn’t even know about.”
House?
“He’s a 2005 midfielder, he’s got pace. He’s been with us for a few days and the technical evaluations will be made in the next few weeks.”
