Manchester United, Ugarte’s day: the midfielder has landed, now medicals and signature

In Manchester it’s finally Manuel Ugarte’s day. Courted for weeks now – it was still July when negotiations between United and Paris Saint-Germain began – the Uruguayan midfielder is now ready to sign a contract with the Red Devils. As reported by several English media, Ugarte landed in Manchester last night, where he will undergo his medical today, before signing the contract.

THE Red Devils they managed to find and seal the final agreement with the Parisian club for an initial figure of 42.2 million pounds, but due to the bonuses linked to the results it could even reach 50.7 million pounds (or 60 million euros). The Uruguayan midfielder born in 2001 has always been United’s number one target to strengthen the midfield during the entire summer transfer window and once the arrival of Joao Neves in Paris was completed, the negotiations between PSG and the English team took off.

The clubs have found a compromise for a permanent transfer of the player, even if initially there was discussion of the possibility of a loan with obligation to buy. However, there has always been the will on the part of both clubs to close the deal. Closure achieved, therefore, and also a little anticipated by the exclusion of PSG in the debut against Le Havre. From today he will officially be a new Manchester United player.
