Interviewed by the channel YouTube ‘More Than Pelotas’, Parma midfielder Adrian Bernabé also spoke about the Crociati’s start to the season.
What are your feelings about Parma?
“I came back last Wednesday and immediately went to training because we had to play against Fiorentina. The result can be seen as positive because Fiorentina is a great team but given how the match went we could have won, especially in the first half where we had 4-5 chances to score. It teaches us something, in Serie A if you forgive you complicate your life”.
What are your expectations?
“We have practically the same group as last year, with 3-4 new players. The structure and the teammates are the same, the level has increased. The main objective is to save ourselves. We are a very young group, that has to learn, we are a group that changes a lot in terms of playing styles. We have fun, we put a lot of men in attack. I would like to get as high as possible but the realistic objective is obviously to save ourselves”.
What emotions did you feel for the promotion?
“It was incredible. It was historic, the way it happened was incredible. Winning an Olympics was extraordinary, but it was something quick, in a month. A promotion comes after a year of work, it repays you for all the effort you’ve made, it was wonderful.”
Now you play with Leao’s Milan.
“I saw him in person, at San Siro, going to see Milan last year. He is an animal physically, you don’t realise from the TV how strong he is. He is a football elite”.
