Real Madrid embraces again Karim Benzema. The French center forward obviously will not return to play in Carlo Ancelotti’s team but, as Al Ittihad announced through their official channels, he has returned to Spain to treat his foot injury together with the doctors of the Spanish club. A rather serious problem, which limited him a lot and made him miss almost all the matches played in 2024.
“Karim Benzema has returned to Real Madrid to undergo medical tests relating to the injury suffered this season, in coordination between the Al Ittihad medical team and Real Madrid,” the Saudi club wrote in an official statement.
The French player will be in Spain for a week to try to recover for the final part of the season, in which Al Ittihad will have to try to secure third place in the league to access next season’s Asian Champions League. With five matches to go, the team is fifth, two points behind Al Ahli, who occupy the last step of the podium and have a game to recover.
