The 2024/25 Serie A season will open on Saturday, August 17, two weeks before the summer transfer window closes on August 30. Two matchdays of the next season will therefore be played with the market open. Most European leagues opened their deals on July 1, with the deadline set for Friday, August 30, slightly earlier than in previous years, when the deadline was extended to early September.
