Dean Huijsen (19 years old) is a new Bournemouth player, now the news is also official. The Premier League Cherries have published on their social media accounts the announcement that the central defender born in 2005 has been purchased from Juventus. He arrives permanently for 18 million euros plus a percentage of the future resale.

Juventus has published on its official website: “The paths of Juventus and Dean Huijsen are separating. The Dutch defender will play the 2024/2025 season in the Premier League. His move to Bournemouth is official, on a permanent basis. His adventure in black and white, which began in the summer of 2021 when he arrived at Juventus from Malaga, therefore ends after 3 years.

After a very short but very positive stint in the Under 17s (in the 2021/2022 season), with the first call-ups as a junior in the Primavera, Huijsen literally took flight. In the 2022/2023 season he made 40 appearances between the Under 19s and Next Gen, finding the net ten times: 4 in the Primavera 1 championship, 3 in the UEFA Youth League, 2 in the Coppa Italia Serie C and 1 in the Serie C championship. For him, then, also two friendlies with the First Team in December 2022, against Standard Liege and Rijeka and these last two games were the first real contact with “the big boys”.

These matches opened the doors to the First Team, with which Dean trained for practically the entire first part of last season, also making his debut in Serie A against Milan at San Siro. Then, from January, there was the loan spell with Roma, where he took the field 14 times, between the league and the Coppa Italia, also finding the way to the goal on two occasions. Thanks for everything and good luck, Dean!”.
