Di Gregorio: “I would like to leave something to Juve. Who do I resemble? In terms of structure, Peruzzi”

In his presentation press conference as the new Juventus goalkeeper, Michael DiGregorio he also spoke about his goals in black and white: “I would like to leave something behind like the other great Juventus goalkeepers have done. Maybe in terms of structure I remind me a bit of Peruzzi. Time will tell. The goal is to do my best. To continue to grow, improve, get satisfaction”.

Are you also thinking about the Italian national team?
“The goal is to give my best and get some satisfaction. The national team is definitely a goal. Leaving my mark on Juve is a goal. I’m thinking about it. It will take a lot of work and sacrifice. I know I’m in the right place.”

What does the manager ask of you most?
“The coach certainly doesn’t ask us for strange things, but only to participate in the maneuver and have personality. I think it’s important. Football has changed. We all want to be useful and do what the coach wants.”

How much has the role of the goalkeeper changed? Do you feel like the starter?
“As I said, football has definitely changed, we are much more involved. It’s an aspect that people like. You have to work hard to get there, right? It’s not easy compared to the past. Participate with your feet. Be good technically. I firmly believe that anything can be done. The relationship with the goalkeepers? Very good from day one. We hit it off straight away, we already knew each other before. Even as opponents, we always exchange small talk and greetings. Great relationship. We are working well, really well. I’m happy about that too. Starting? I’m here to give my all, it’s a great opportunity and I’ll give my all”.
