Turin, fans’ banner against Cairo: “We’re not asking you for 50 million, but only for…”

The protests by the Granata supporters against Urban Cairo. Outside the Stadio Olimpico-Grande Torino, a banner of dissent was displayed, yet another one, towards the number one of Toro: “We are not asking you for 50 million, but only to…get the hell out of our way”.

The reference is to the statements made in the press conference by the number one of the Granata a few days ago: “Now we are not in order, we have made six budgets in loss and these are things that weigh, but it is not a fault not to have 50 million to put into Toro every year: it is not something that someone can blame on me, we need to find a sustainable path. And for us it is a youth system that provides players for the first team, the scouting that provides players with operations to find talents at affordable figures and they become important players.

The expectation is higher, it is right that the fan has it and we see it in all the squares, but in the last 12 years we have been eight times on the left side and in the last two years we have fought for Europe losing it even at the end of the championship, like this year. And in the season before the last one against Inter…It is not such a negative path, but everything can be improved and we must do better. But as far as I am concerned, the mistake I made in 2018/2019 was to do something more for our budgets that could not afford it”.
