Fiorentina tries to speed up the incoming market (which sees the Viola having purchased Kean and Pongracic up to now) and to go and fill the most depleted department at the moment, the midfield.
In the last few hours, the trail that could lead the Viola to get their hands on Cesare Casadei has emerged with force. A prospect of Italian football, the 2003-born player is out of the Chelsea squad (Maresca did not call him up for the tour of the United States) and in his head he is starting to want to return to Serie A. Fiorentina is there but they are not alone: the problem could be related to the formula of the operation, given that Chelsea would like to sell him outright, while the idea of the Fiorentina management would be to take him on loan with an option to buy, which could become an obligation if certain conditions are met.
Andrea Colpani would instead be stationed a few metres ahead of the medianfor which Fiorentina seems to have taken a few small steps forward with Monza. Palladino’s desire, the Tuscan club intends to please its coach: the Brianza club’s valuation for Colpani’s contract has not changed, around 18 million euros, just as the gap has not yet been filled. Contacts in the last few hours, however, have shown some more positive signals. Fiorentina, which in the meantime is pursuing other parallel paths for the midfield (and not alternatives) is setting the discussions with Monza for the ’99 class on the basis of a permanent transfer.
