Having joined Espanyol from Barcelona in 2022, the 33-year-old striker Martin Christensen Braithwaite has decided not to continue his adventure in Catalonia. The Spanish club announced in the last few hours that the Danish international has decided to activate his exit clause and has become a free agent. Behind this decision was also the pressure from Gremio, which – reports FootMarket – seems to have finally reached an agreement with the footballer’s entourage.
Braithwaite will then fly to Porto Alegre, where he will undergo a medical and sign a 24-month contract with the Brazilian top-flight club.
