Mason Greenwood moves to Roberto De Zerbi’s court: the English attacking winger has reached an agreement with the management of Olympique Marseille and has signed the contract that will tie him to the French team until 30 June 2029.

This is the official statement: “Olympique Marseille is delighted to announce the signing of Mason Greenwood from Manchester United. The 22-year-old striker has signed following a successful medical. Trained at Manchester United’s prestigious academy, Mason Greenwood began his professional career with the Red Devils, making his debut in a Champions League round of 16 match against PSG in March 2019. At the age of 17 years and 156 days, he became the youngest player in history to wear the Manchester United shirt in the Champions League.

He scored 35 goals and 12 assists in 129 games for Manchester United and was called up to the national team in September 2020, aged just 19. In 2021, Mason Greenwood also started a Europa League final and finished 5th in the Raymond Kopa trophy, which recognises the best player under 21 in the world. Last summer, the British winger was loaned to Getafe, where he scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists in 36 games. He was also voted player of the season by the Azulones fans.
