Johnny Evansdefender of the Manchester Unitedhas renewed with the Red Devils until 2025. The official statement reads: “Manchester United are delighted to confirm that Jonny Evans has signed a new one-year contract with the club, which will last until June 2025. The Academy graduate returned to Old Trafford last summer after eight years away from West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City.

Evans was an invaluable contributor to Erik ten Hag’s side throughout last season, playing 30 times in all competitions, including a substitute appearance at Wembley as we beat Manchester City to win the Emirates FA Cup.

That cup success saw the 36-year-old complete his domestic trophy haul with United, adding to the three Premier League titles and two League Cup victories he won during his first spell. The Northern Irishman will now be hoping for further success as we step up preparations for the 2024/25 season.”
