England, Kane: “Foden under par? It’s down to tactics, not him”

Spain and France are in the field to win the first of the two places in the European Championship final, but tomorrow it will be Harry’s England’s turn Kanewho will have to deal with Holland. The captain of Gareth Southgate’s team spoke at a press conference on the eve of the big match. Here are his words reported by the BBC: “I think in these games you lean on experience, on leaders who have been there and experienced these situations before. Ultimately it’s about going out there and seizing the opportunity with both hands. To reach the final of the European Championship twice in a row would be an extraordinary achievement and we have the opportunity to do that”.

As a good leader, Kane defends his teammate Phil Cover from the criticism received across the Channel: “It’s a tactical issue, not a player problem. Motivation? From a team point of view we know what we have to achieve. We have a very important match, a very tough match for which we must be ready. We have prepared for this. Everyone experiences these situations differently: there are those who draw further motivation from this pressure”.
