Piovaccari faces Steaua tomorrow: “How nice to hear the music of the Champions League”

Federico Piovaccari starts again from San Marino. The Virtus Acquaviva striker is ready to take the field tomorrow in the Champions League against Steaua Bucharest. In view of the match, the striker spoke to the official channels of the Sammarinese club: “I wanted to end my career in style, through my friend Roberto Sabato and the Sports Director Matteo Guiducci I received this proposal that I accepted with great pleasure. Furthermore, the fact of returning to play in Bucharest, where I have beautiful memories, was an additional push to accept this challenge”.

You have a lot of international experience, both for having played in many different countries and already played in the Champions League. What does it mean for a player to play these kinds of matches?
“These games give you goosebumps and repay you for all the efforts you have made since you were a child. As for me, when I received the offer from the then Steaua I had no doubts, going from playing in Serie B to hearing the Champions League music was a huge satisfaction”.

You are a former member of the Romanian team, what atmosphere should we expect in the two matches, especially the one in Bucharest?
“The atmosphere will be that of a big stage: even though it is not a big match, there will be a lot of people at the stadium, because we are facing one of the Big teams of Romanian football. It will be a beautiful environment for all of us, and for me in particular after the beautiful season I experienced with their colors”.
