The France striker Randal Kolo Muani spoke to the notebooks of the official UEFA website about his experience at the European Championship starting from the success against Portugal in the quarter-finals: “It’s a great feeling to reach the semi-finals and we are very proud of the game we played. We were good in defense and, even if we didn’t manage to score, we held firm until the end and we were very good on penalties”.
You had to show a lot of character once again. How strong is this France?
“Character has always been our strength; we are all strong and very confident. We are united and this is very important for us. This is what will take us to the end of the tournament.”
How do you explain the success of this almost impenetrable defense?
“We all defend together, we fight together and we give everything for each other, as it has happened since the beginning of the tournament. This is the key to our success.”
France wouldn’t be here without you coming on against Belgium; how much confidence did that moment give you?
“It’s everyone’s merit, not just my entry onto the pitch. It’s the mentality of the group, we played a great match. I tried to bring a bit of freshness and the group helped me score the goal. We won together.”
What do you think of this Spain?
They are a great team, it will be a very nice match. We will be ready. The whole team will be ready. We are not afraid of anyone, we are very confident and solid. We know they have a lot of qualities, but we are a very united group. This will take us to the final.
