Brazil out of Copa America, but CT Dorival stays: confirmation from the federal president

The elimination of the Brazil at the hands of Uruguay is certainly a topic of discussion, but what made even more noise was the exclusion of Dorival Jr from the circle of Brazilian players shortly before the penalty shootout: the video, in fact, confirms that the Brazilian national team’s technical commissioner tried several times to enter the circle to give final instructions, but the players still kept him out.

A scene that could have predicted bad mood towards the CT, even more so after Brazil’s defeat. But the number one of the CBF, the Brazilian Football Federation, downplays it, just like Dorival Junior did. And he confirms the coach also in view of the World Cup qualifiers. The president Edward Rodrigues he dwelt on the topic in an interview given to ESPN Brazil:

In two months there will be the qualifiers and the project is to move forward with Dorival, understand and work. There are six games between September and November and we will move forward with him. He and the entire technical staff are very aware of what has been done. Dorival is aware of what did not go well and that is where he will work from. We will build a competitive national team, a winning selection. This is the project, because every time we make changes and a new mandate begins, it is increasingly difficult. But I am sure he will make the right moves to improve”.
