(ANSA) – ROME, 08 JULY – Marcus Thuramstriker of the French national team that reached the semi-finals of the European Championship and of Inter, celebrated on social media the results of the second round of the French general election, with the left-wing coalition of the Nouveau Front Populaire surprisingly overcoming Jordan Bardella’s Rassemblement National and the bloc of outgoing president Emmanuel Macron.
Thuram shared the graph of the results projections on Instagram and praised voters for answering the call: “Congratulations to all those who responded to the danger that threatened our beautiful country. Long live the mix, long live France, long live the Republic. The fight continues.”
Thuram was one of the first footballers to take a stand before the elections, inviting the French to go and vote and not let the right win. Then, after the initial controversy, he was defended by the captain of the Bleus Kylian Mbappé, who in turn took a stand. (ANSA).
