Roma also has its Milinkovic-Savic: here is Sergej… Levak!

The 2006-born midfielder for the Giallorossi has shone in the Under 18s this year, scoring 10 goals in the league.

Sergei Levak he took the Rome. After six months of settling in in 2023, in which he struggled to find continuity and the right position, this year in the Under 18s he played football at important levels, dragging the Giallorossi in Scudetto final. Arrived in Rome in January 2023, from the youth sector of NK Osijek, on loan for six months with the right to buy. At Trigoria they wanted to give confidence to the Croatian boy, buying his contract and putting him at the center of the project in the Under 18 under the guidance of Tanrivermis.

The 2023-24 season sees him as a protagonist from the very beginning, always deployed as a starter in the middle of the field as a playmaker or as a mezz’ala. He probably needed the right amount of time to adapt to a completely new context. Tanrivermis he worked and focused on it a lot, controlling it in the middle of the field to make the most of the boy’s combination of physical and technical qualities. He has scored 9 goals in 23 appearances, a very respectable haul for a midfielder who rarely plays near the strikers. Also used with the Primavera on 6 occasions, he was decisive in the Under 18 journey, dragging his team to the Scudetto final (lost 2-0 against Genoa).

Next season he is expected to be a starter in the Primavera, to confirm the good things done so far. 195cm tall, he is a unique and rare profile, capable of combining a physical structure clearly above average with technical skills and mobility completely atypical for a figure of this type. The next step will have to be mental rather than technical-tactical, learning to become increasingly aware of his own potential, maintaining a constant performance throughout the season, managing to be incisive even in the games that matter most.
