De Vrij MVP of Holland-Türkiye: “Transfer market? I’m happy at Inter, I still see myself as a Nerazzurri player”

Stefan DeVrijauthor of the equalising goal in the match which was then won 2-1 byHolland on Türkiye, he was elected MVP. Interviewed by Skythe Inter defender analyses the match as follows: “It was beautiful, it was very important, we were losing and we were struggling also because of Turkey, who were very disciplined and held the line well. There was little space, but we still gained the confidence we needed, we continued to play and find spaces, we also created and then it was important to equalise. We were good at quickly taking the lead after the equaliser, then we suffered but all together we fought until the end, congratulations to the team”.

First half in difficulty, tonight did the team spirit emerge that can make the difference?“Yes, I don’t completely agree because I think that in the first 15-20 minutes we played well and found the free man. Then we lost too many balls and they were good, they took the lead but, as I said before, in the second half we recovered and continued to play, we took the lead and then it was also nice to see a team that knows how to suffer when it has to, like today”.

You and Dumfries on this side, Calhanoglu on the other. Inter fans are wondering if you’ll stay.
“I have a one-year contract, plus an option, I’m very happy and it’s been a crazy season. I still see myself at Inter, yes.”
