The Dutchman signed a new annual contract with the club on Monday and will keep his number 42 shirt for next season.

“Deyo impressed in various roles last season with consistent performances and improved the team with his intensity, enthusiasm and dynamism. We are therefore pleased that we have decided to continue working together,” explained sporting director Benjamin Weber. The 26-year-old joined the capital club from FC Groningen in the summer of 2020. The Amsterdam-born full-back has made a total of 56 appearances for the Old Lady so far, scoring once and providing one assist. The defender also spent loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and Hellas Verona. Last season he made a total of 21 first-team appearances and will expect many more in the future.”
