The Barcelona is working on the renovation of Pau Cubarsia young defender who grew up in the academy blaugrana: as reported by the Iberian newspaper As the Catalans’ objective is to sign a renewal by inserting a release clause of 500 million euros, a totally different figure compared to the 15 million euros included in the renewal signed last season (until 30 June 2026). The possible adjustment will not only concern the clause, but also the terms of the contract: when the player turns 18, the club will offer him an agreement for five years with a progressive salary that will start from 4 million up to 12 million.
The objective of the maxi clause is to start again with young people after a fluctuating season: between the constraints introduced with the new La Liga rules and a budget devastated above all by the pandemic, the Barcelona must start again from the nursery and from a young man like Cubarsi who has already demonstrated his qualities.
