The Bologna coach spoke at the press conference at the end of the drawn match against Juventus Thiago Motta he responded thus to those who asked him if it was possible to think of a Bielsa-like path for him in Emilia: “First of all, I will never allow myself to compare myself to a coach like him. As for the future, I will talk about it first with the president. I understand the question but today is not the time to talk about this but rather we must enjoy the celebration more than deserved by these kids… We have given immense joy to a city that deserved it and was waiting for it.”
Can today’s match be a lesson for next year?
“We must always be aware that matches can change. Football today is at a high pace and with great intensity and this is how we have to deal with it: we have shown that we know how to do it. I am proud and satisfied to coach these boys. Today we wanted to win but this draw does not ruin nothing. Even my boys are angry that they didn’t win the match and I like that because it’s what they need to face the next match even better.”
