Montero challenges Thiago Motta: present and future face off

Yesterday, Paolo Montero’s adventure as Juventus coach officially began for the next two championship matches against Bologna and Monza. The Uruguayan coach went to Continassa on Sunday morning and, shortly after, the Juventus club, through its channels, made its new coach official: “The next two days of Serie A, the last of the 2023/24 Championship, they will see Paolo Montero on the bench of the Men’s First Team. Montero is currently the coach of the Under 19 team which just yesterday, 18 May, concluded the Primavera 1 Championship: this morning, Sunday 19 May (yesterday ed.), he will lead his first training session with the team which he will then lead in the matches against Bologna (Monday 20th at 8.45pm at “Dall’Ara”) and against Monza, at the Allianz Stadium, on a date and time yet to be defined, a match that will close our season. To Paolo, first Juventus legend on the pitch, then bearer of Juventus DNA on the bench (as confirmed by the Original “Plantar una Semilla”, produced by Juventus Creator Lab a few weeks ago), best wishes for good work in this double commitment.”

Montero will rely on the usual 3-5-2 for the match against Bologna.
Paolo Montero should not upset Juventus’ lineup and against Bologna he will rely on the classic 3-5-2: he will be in goal Szczesny. In defense there is room for Gatti, Bremer and Danilo. Cambiaso will act in midfield on the right, McKennie, Locatelli and Rabiot will play in the middle, while on the left there will be Iling Junior. In attack, Montero will focus on Chiesa and Vlahovic. The Uruguayan coach will demand maximum commitment from his team, because he certainly won’t want to disfigure himself in his two games on the Old Lady’s bench. It is reasonable, however, to expect some changes during the ongoing match where, perhaps, Tiago Djalò’s debut in black and white could finally arrive, who never had the chance to play under Massimiliano Allegri. Today, after 8 months, Fagioli could also take the field, having finished serving the disqualification linked to sports betting.

Juve challenges Thiago Motta and Calafiori’s Bologna.
It will be a match full of crossovers this evening at 8.45pm at the Dall’Ara between Bologna and Juventus. The interest of the Bianconeri in two great protagonists of the Rossoblù is no mystery Thiago Motta and Riccardo Calafiori. Both seem very close to linking up with the Old Lady, but today they will still be opponents, in a match in which the two teams will compete for third position in the standings. Precisely in the press conference on the eve of the day, the Italian-Brazilian coach wanted to talk about his future: “In the next few days I will meet with the president, we will make a decision together and we will communicate it jointly. The time is coming to do it, but it must be done internally and with great respect for everyone.” Giuntoli has chosen Thiago Motta as his number 1 target for the Juventus bench, now it’s a matter of a few days to understand if this marriage will happen.
