Torino-Milan 3-1, the report cards: Rodriguez goals and assists, disaster for the Rossoneri central defenders

Final result: Torino-Milan 3-1

TURIN
Milinkovic-Savic 6 – In the first half he was never called into action, he was attentive to some crosses from the right.

Good morning 6.5 – Precise and clean in the defensive phase, the Rossoneri attackers never impose themselves. Fluid even when it needs to start the action. (From 80′ Lovato SV).

Masina 5.5 – Proactive on his own flank, he is not afraid to try the long ball. Bad in the second half where Pulisic lands and concedes the penalty to Milan.

Tameze 6.5 – He manages the few dangers that come his way very well and gives security to his teammates. They devour a great opportunity but in the second half they grow in the defensive phase.

Bellanova 6.5 – An arrow on his wing puts his opponent in difficulty and has the merit of giving a chocolate to Ilic for the 2-0. (From 75′ Lazaro SV).

Ilic 7 – He has often been missing this season, but when he plays the difference is there: intensity in the middle of the pitch and a goal as an attacker.

Linetty 6 – Rough on several occasions, he tries to nip the Rossoneri’s offensives in their tracks. Quantity at Juric’s service.

Rodriguez 7 – Same goes for Bellanova, proactive on his own wing: splendid cross for the opening goal scored by Zapata. He clocks in with a great goal. (From 61′ Vojvoda 6 – Match management his).

Ricci 5.5 – He plays almost on the attack line, therefore leaving his position to detach himself from the Rossoneri defence. Not as brilliant as usual though.

Pellegri 6.5 – He has often been missing this season, a match of quantity and quality: the 2-0 action starts from his feet, if he is in shape it could be a great discovery. (From 75′ Sanabria SV).

Zapata 7 – Important match for the Colombian, who unlocks the game as a true attacker. Generous even when not in possession, he often starts the action.

All. Ivan Juric 7 – Up and down season, but Juric came to this challenge knowing that Europe is possible. Match prepared with criteria and organisation, excellent performance from his team.

MILAN
Door 5.5 – He’s not to blame for the goals, of course, but there are a couple of imperfections, such as a ball that was rejected and not blocked.

Kalulu 5 – In the possession phase he practically acts as a midfielder, but his feet remain those of the defender. When not in possession he finds himself out of position more than once. Not evening.

Thiaw 4.5 – The shadow of himself. He doesn’t follow Zapata and the latter scores. He falls asleep with the ball at his feet and has it stolen more than once. Experience horror.

Tomori 4.5 – Perhaps the most disastrous performance of his experience at Milan. He is clearly responsible for two goals, leaving the men in the penalty area too free, and practically not scoring one.

Terracciano 5.5 – He hadn’t played for over a month, he had never started and perhaps this wasn’t the most suitable match for him, against a very physical and intense Torino. At times he seems lost, but he also does good things. The least worst of the defense. From the 65th minute Florenzi 6 – He starts beating all the placed players and a few tricky balls in the area let him go.

Musah 5 – He slides forward several times, but without creating any danger, without ever jumping the man or making the right play. Too many choice errors. From 78′ Pobega sv

Reijnders 5.5 – He limits himself to serving elementary balls to his teammates. Only once does he lead and Milan become dangerous. Alternating current.

Bennacer 6.5 – He does double duty, in both phases, giving the sensation of covering even the areas left empty by his teammates. Cold on a penalty kick to reopen the match. From 78′ Giroud sv

Pulisic 6.5 – The main dangers (few) for Torino come from his foot, such as the crossbar at the start of the second half. Furthermore, he also sacrifices himself when not in possession, with several defensive retreats. He also earns the penalty. The best

Jovic 5 – He plays too much, really too isolated. And what’s more with Buongiorno that is always on top of him and cancels him out. Complicated night in which he never manages to make an impact.

Okafor 6 – He is deployed as a winger and immediately, in the first half, he comes close to scoring with a good play. Often doubled, he still finds space to create something. Pioli perhaps takes him out too early. From 61′ Leao 6 – He tries to give a different verve to the attack, at times he even succeeds, but he receives few balls.

Stefano Pioli 5 – Of course, it has the mitigating factor of the absence of motivations. Of course, send a lot of second lines onto the field, since there is nothing to play for. But we struggle to remember such a confused Milan.
