This evening, on the occasion of the first leg of the Serie B playout between Bari and Ternana, San Nicola recorded a double record: with 33,808 spectators, in fact, the match is not only the playout match with the highest turnout ever, surpassing Salernitana -VirtusLanciano of 2015/16 (25,000 spectators), but also the one that set the seasonal record for Serie B.
The previous record, which belonged to the Palermo-Como match, was therefore surpassed, despite the travel ban for the rossoverdi fans (only 3 were present as underlined by Bari). However, a record that could be surpassed as early as tomorrow by the match between Palermo and Sampdoria for which, at the moment, 32,335 tickets have already been sold. A number that is destined to rise closer to the starting whistle of the match.
